Abstract:      This paper reports a method for dimefluthrin residue determination in selected groups of food (vegetable, fruit, rice and dried fish), where dimefluthrin was extracted and cleaned using a buffered QuEChERS (Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged and Safe) method, followed by LC-MS/MS analysis. The results showed the matrixmatched calibration curve linearity. The correlation coefficients were >0.99 in the range of Dimefluthrin concentrations from 10 to 1000 g/L in different selected matrix samples. Recoveries (spiked at three different levels 0.05 mg/kg, 0.1 mg/kg and 0.2 mg/kg) were from 76.8 to 114% and the relative standard deviations (RSD) were lower than 10%. The method limit of detection (LOD) was 0.001 mg/Kg and the method limit of quantitation (LOQ) was 0.003 mg/Kg.The method was used to analyte dimefluthrin residue in 100 samples of food. dimefluthrin concentrations were found from non detection to 6.4 mg/kg.The method is applicable for the determination of dimefluthrin at trace concentrations.
