Dr. Dharmapuram Venkat Reddy served as President & CEO of BRCORP from 2016 to 2020 and Advisor, Tunnel Institute Program at Larsen & Toubro (L&T Headquarters)  Chennai after retiring as Professor & Head, Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology Surathkal (NIT-Karnataka). He worked as Professor from 2006 to 2017 and earlier as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor respectively at NIT Karnataka.

Prior to this he worked at Kothagudem School of Mines and Osmania University, Hyderabad and was also visiting Professor at various universities abroad and consultant to many industries. He is President of Cafet-Innova Technical Society, Hyderabad and Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Earth Sciences and Engineering ISSN 0974-5904.

He is currently serving in the Board of Directors at BRCORP and also visiting Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere as Adjunct Professor in Institute of Petro Chemical Engineering on special appointment by Vice Chancellor Dr. V. Rama Sastry

Early Life and Education:

Dr. Venkat Reddy was born on 5th April 1952 at Mahaboob Nagar District of Andhra Pradesh (now Telangana) state of India. His father was an aristocrat with their main profession being agriculture. Both his mother and wife Vasumathi are home-makers, while Daughter Jyosna Wanhoof who is married to Jeffrey Wanhoof are both working at Motorola Inc. and whereas his son- D. Ravinder Reddy is holding a senior position at Amazon Inc. Ciatel, Washington.

He did his Bachelor of Science in Geology in 1974, Master of Science in Engineering Geology in 1976, Master of Science (Tech) in Hydrogeology in the year 1978 and Ph. D in Engineering Geology in 1985 respectively from Osmania University, Hyderabad.
