Title:         Modular Approach of Dynamic Modeling of Type - 3 Wind Energy Conversion Systems

Abstract: Modular approach towards type 3 Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS) is presented in this paper. This consists of design, dynamic modeling, simulation and stability analysis of wind power system which includes Wind Turbine (WT), Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) and advanced AC/DC/AC power converters. The dq reference frame is used to obtain the equivalent circuit of the DFIG. MATLAB Simulink has been used as the tool to evaluate the stability analysis of the WECS. It is proved that the developed model has provided stable output voltage to the grid during the transitions of the wind speed.
